海から眺める横須賀 ― YOKOSUKA軍港めぐり

先月は、横須賀の軍港クルーズを体験しに行ってきました。

船乗り場のすぐ横にある商業施設「コースカ」２階でチケットを購入します。

出航まで少し時間があったので館内を散策し、１５分前には乗船列へ向かいました。思っていたよりも乗船する人が多く、少し意外でした。

そして、いよいよ出航です。

今回は、クルーズ中に印象に残った艦船や風景をご紹介したいと思います。

船が動き始めてすぐ、大きな艦船を見ることができました。

コースカの隣にあるヴェルニー公園から艦船を眺めたことはありましたが、これほど近い距離で見るのは初めてです。海の上から見る艦船は迫力があり、その大きさを改めて実感しました。

Last month, I went on the Yokosuka Naval Port Cruise.

Tickets are sold on the second floor of Coaska, a shopping complex located right next to the boarding terminal.

Since we had some time before departure, I looked around the shopping complex and joined the boarding line about 15 minutes before departure. There were more passengers than I had expected, which was a pleasant surprise.

Then, it was finally time to set sail.

In this post, I’d like to share some of the ships and scenery that left a lasting impression on me during the cruise.

If you’re interested in learning more about what you see, knowledgeable guides provide explanations throughout the cruise, so I highly recommend experiencing it for yourself.

Shortly after the boat departed, we were able to see a large naval vessel up close.

I had seen these vessels before from Verny Park next to Coaska, but this was my first time seeing one from such a close distance. Seeing these vessels from the water was incredibly impressive, and it made me appreciate just how massive they are.

We were also able to see people working aboard the vessel.

海の上には、等間隔に並ぶ白い構造物が見えていました。軍港ならではの独特な景色で、海に人工物が規則正しく並ぶ様子が印象的でした。

この付近には、艦船の磁気を測定・調整するための「消磁所」があります。普段目にすることのない施設を、海上から間近に見ることができました。

Out on the water, I noticed a series of white structures lined up at regular intervals. It was a unique sight typical of a naval port, and the orderly arrangement of these man-made structures across the water left a strong impression.

Near this area is a degaussing facility, where the magnetic signatures of naval vessels are measured and adjusted. It was a rare opportunity to see a facility like this up close from the water.

艦船の近くまで接近した際に、構造部分を写してみました。

As we approached the naval vessel, I photographed part of its structure.

艦船だけでなく、クルーズ船からしか見られない横須賀の風景も楽しめました。

Beyond the naval vessels, the cruise also offered unique views of Yokosuka that can only be experienced from the water.

遠くにトンネルが見えました。
どこか忘れられた場所のような雰囲気があり、クルーズ船が進むにつれて少しずつ見えなくなっていきました。

A tunnel could be seen in the distance. It had the atmosphere of a forgotten place, and as the cruise boat moved on, it gradually disappeared from view.

４５分間の軍港クルーズは、立ちっぱなしだったことを忘れてしまうほど、あっという間の時間でした。

横須賀を訪れる方には、ぜひおすすめしたい観光の一つです。

ヴェルニー公園では春と秋にバラが咲きます。季節が合えば、軍港クルーズとあわせて訪れてみてください。

The 45-minute naval port cruise flew by so quickly that I almost forgot I had been standing the whole time.

Roses bloom in Verny Park during spring and autumn. If the timing is right, I’d recommend enjoying the park along with the naval port cruise.
