浦賀ドック解体の記録 – 浦賀再開発に向けて | Uraga Dock

こんにちは。

今回は、横須賀市浦賀町にある「浦賀ドック」について書いていこうと思います。

かつて造船所として稼働していた浦賀ドックは、２０１９年頃から一部の建物を除き解体が進められてきました。

最近では浦賀周辺の再開発も進んでおり、ドック跡地にはホテルや商業施設などを整備し、２０２９年以降の供用開始が予定されているそうです。

浦賀の象徴でもあったドックの風景が失われていくのは、とても寂しく感じます。

ですが、その変化も含めて受け止めながら、建物がなくなるまでの様子を、今後できる限り記録していこうと思っています。

この日は、ドック敷地内でイベントが開催されていました。

出店やステージイベントを少し楽しんだあと、帰り際にドック周辺を撮影してきました。

壁面の一部には足場が設置されており、少しずつ変化が始まっているようにも感じられました。

これが実際に解体工事に関係しているのかは分かりませんが、現在の姿を残しておきたいと思い、記録として撮影しています。

This time, I would like to write about “Uraga Dock” located in Uraga, Yokosuka City.

Uraga Dock, which once operated as a shipyard, has been undergoing demolition since around 2019, with only a few buildings remaining.

In recent years, redevelopment around the Uraga area has also been progressing, and the former dock site is reportedly planned to be transformed into hotels and commercial facilities, with operations expected to begin after 2029.

It feels very sad to see the dock scenery, once a symbol of Uraga, gradually disappearing.

However, while accepting these changes, I hope to continue documenting the site for as long as possible before the buildings are gone.

On this day, an event was being held inside the dock site.

After briefly enjoying the food stalls and stage performances, I photographed the area around the dock on my way home.

Scaffolding had been installed on part of the wall, and it felt as though gradual changes had already begun.

I do not know whether this is actually related to demolition work, but I wanted to preserve the current state of the site through photographs as a record.

今後も動きがあれば、このブログでお伝えしていくつもりです。

やはり、すべてなくなってしまってから振り返ろうとしても、以前の風景や建物の姿を思い出すことは簡単ではありません。

そのため、写真として記録に残しておくことは、とても重要だと考えています。

２０１９年から２０２１年にかけて撮影した浦賀ドックの風景を、一つの作品としてまとめたものがあります。

In the future, if there are any further developments, I plan to continue sharing them on this blog.

After everything has disappeared, it is never easy to look back and clearly remember the former scenery or the appearance of the buildings.

That is why I believe it is very important to preserve these moments through photography as a form of documentation.

I also created a photographic work that brings together scenes of Uraga Dock taken between 2019 and 2021.
