光に照らされた明月院の紫陽花 | Sunlit Hydrangeas at Meigetsuin

６月上旬の晴れた日に、紫陽花で有名な明月院を訪れました。

入り口では、たくさんの紫陽花が日差しを浴びて咲いており、これから始まる散策への期待が高まります。

On a sunny day in early June, I visited Meigetsuin, a temple famous for its hydrangeas.

At the entrance, numerous hydrangeas were blooming in the sunlight, raising my anticipation for the walk ahead.

この日は雨ではなく、汗ばむほど日差しの強い晴天でした。
そのため、雨に濡れたしっとりとした紫陽花ではなく、日差しを浴びる紫陽花や柔らかな光に照らされた紫陽花を中心に撮影しています。

こちらは足元に咲く紫陽花にフォーカスした一枚です。
逆光によって葉の質感が強調され、印象的な雰囲気になりました。

こちらは、比較的光の当たりにくい場所で咲いていた紫陽花です。
日差しを浴びた紫陽花とは異なり、６月らしい湿り気のある空気感を感じさせます。
背景に写る枝がアクセントとなり、独特の存在感を添えていました。

This hydrangea was blooming in a spot that received relatively little sunlight.Unlike the hydrangeas bathed in sunshine, it conveys the moist atmosphere that is so characteristic of June.The branch in the background serves as an accent, adding a unique presence to the scene.

お寺の本堂の横側に回ってみると、紫陽花と青もみじが見られる風景が広がっていました。
紫陽花が咲く頃ならではの空気感と、季節の移ろいを感じさせる一枚です。

Walking around to the side of the temple’s main hall, I was greeted by a scene where hydrangeas and fresh green maple leaves could be seen together.
This photograph captures the unique atmosphere of the hydrangea season and evokes the subtle transition of the seasons.

撮影中、光に照らされた紫陽花に出会いました。

まだ咲き始めたばかりの花が可愛らしく、初々しい印象を与えてくれます。

紫陽花には、雨の多い６月を象徴する花というイメージがあります。
可憐な一方で、どこか物憂げな雰囲気を感じることもあります。

今回は、光と紫陽花の組み合わせによって、普段抱いている物憂げな印象とは異なる表情を見ることができました。
見ているだけで、明るい気持ちにさせてくれます。

While photographing, I came across a hydrangea illuminated by the sunlight.

The flowers had only just begun to bloom, giving them a charming and fresh appearance.

Hydrangeas are often seen as a symbol of June, a month known for its frequent rain.
While they are delicate and beautiful, they can also evoke a somewhat melancholic mood.

This time, however, the combination of light and hydrangeas revealed a different side of the flower from the wistful image I usually associate with it.

Simply looking at it fills me with a brighter and more uplifting feeling.

こちらは紫陽花が密集して咲いているのではなく、ところどころに花が見られる風景です。
さりげなく木製の案内板を入れることで、その場の雰囲気が伝わり、境内を歩いているような気分になります。

This scene does not feature a dense cluster of hydrangeas; instead, the flowers can be seen blooming here and there throughout the landscape.

The subtle presence of a wooden signboard adds a sense of place, making it feel as though you are walking through the temple grounds yourself.

今回は紫陽花尽くしのご紹介となりました。

明月院 にはここでしか見られない風景があり、街中で紫陽花を見るのとはまた違った魅力があります。紫陽花に囲まれた和の雰囲気が広がり、季節ならではの景色を楽しむことができました。

花の見頃は短く、こうした風景も限られた期間だけのものです。

今回の散策で出会った風景を、より身近に感じていただけるようポストカードを制作しました。

This article has been entirely dedicated to hydrangeas.

At Meigetsuin, there are scenes that can only be experienced here, offering a different kind of charm from seeing hydrangeas in the city. Surrounded by hydrangeas, the temple grounds are filled with a distinctly Japanese atmosphere, allowing visitors to enjoy scenery unique to this season.

The blooming period of flowers is short, and these beautiful landscapes can only be enjoyed for a limited time.
