ガラスの内側にとどまる植物たち | Plants Held Within a Glass Vessel | Yumenoshima Tropical Greenhouse Dome

こんにちは。

前回の温室の中の様子から、今回は外へ出て、ひと息つくためにカフェに立ち寄りました。

静かに過ごしていると、壁際に、ガラス容器に収められた植物が置かれているのに気づき、近づいてみました。

透明な液体の中で、白い花弁がふわりと広がっています。
こちらはゲッカビジンの花。
一度咲いたその瞬間が、そのまま閉じ込められているようでした。

After exploring the greenhouse in the previous post, I stepped outside and stopped by a café to take a short break.

As I sat quietly, I noticed a plant preserved in a glass Vessel placed along the wall, and went over to take a closer look.

Inside the clear liquid, white petals gently spread out.
It is the flower of the night-blooming cereus.
It felt as if the very moment of its bloom had been captured and preserved.

すぐ横には、パラグアイオニバスと記された植物も置かれていました。

Victoria cruzianaとされるものですが、オオオニバス属の別の種かもしれません。

瓶越しに、さらに液体の中を撮影しているため、輪郭がやわらかくなり、線が曖昧に見えます。
地上で直接見るときよりも、少し離れて観察しているような感覚がありました。

Next to it, there was another plant labeled as the Paraguay water lily.

It is identified as Victoria cruziana, though it could possibly be another species within the same genus.

Because the photo was taken through the glass and the liquid inside, the outlines appear softened and the lines somewhat blurred.
Compared to seeing it directly above ground, it felt as if I were observing it from a slight distance.

５回にわたり、夢の島熱帯植物館 の植物たちを紹介してきました。

まだこちらでの温室巡りは２回目ですが、それぞれの温室ごとに、空間の使い方や植物の見どころが異なり、比べながら見ていくのも面白さのひとつです。

館内はとても広く、当日はすべてを見て回ることができませんでした。
また訪れる機会があれば、見逃した場所もゆっくり巡りたいと思います。

Over the course of five posts, I have been introducing the plants of Yumenoshima Tropical Greenhouse Dome.

This is my second time exploring the greenhouses in this series, and each one differs in its use of space and the way the plants are presented, making it interesting to compare them as you walk through.

The facility is quite large, and I wasn’t able to see everything in a single visit.
If I have the chance to return, I would like to take my time exploring the areas I missed.
