夕暮れの光に包まれる香取神宮 | Katori Shrine in the Evening Light

こんにちは。

東国三社巡りの最後に訪れたのは、香取神宮です。

最初に道を間違えてしまい、奥宮からのスタートになりました。

Hello.

The last place I visited on the Tōgoku Sansha pilgrimage was Katori Shrine.

I took a wrong turn at first, so I ended up starting from the Okunomiya.

森の中はひっそりしていました。

The forest was completely silent.

広い開けた場所に出てきました。

I came out into a wide open space.

香取護国神社です。

This is Katori Gokoku Shrine.

拝殿のある場所へ向かいます。

I headed toward the area where the worship hall stands.

歩いていると、木の幹にスポットライトが当たっているような光を見つけました。

As I walked along, I noticed light falling on a tree trunk like a spotlight.

総門までやってきました。

I arrived at the main gate.

日が落ち始めています。

The sun was starting to set.

拝殿までやってきました。

参拝します。

I arrived at the worship hall.

I offered my prayers.

神楽殿です。

This is the Kagura Hall.

来た道を戻り、駐車場に向かいます。

I went back the way I came and headed for the parking lot.

今回はすべてを回りきることはできませんでしたが、夕方の光と静かな境内が、気持ちを穏やかにしてくれました。

東国三社巡りの間は、一社訪れるたびに体が軽くなっていくように感じました。

翌日、私にとって嬉しい出来事がありました。
これも神様のおかげかなと思っています。

I wasn’t able to visit every part this time, but the evening light and the quiet shrine grounds calmed my mind.

As I went on the Tōgoku Sansha pilgrimage, I felt my body grow lighter with each shrine I visited.

The next day, something pleasant happened to me.
I can’t help thinking it might have been thanks to the gods.
